When we are not allowed to gather indoors, nature has become our closest friend. It is outdoors that we carefully dare to live and make room for all the needs we have previously taken for granted. We take the children to the forest or the friends to the park. Exercise, food and socializing have become synonymous with fresh air. A little tentative, we dare to live again after a long period of uncertainty. So what about the summer and the holidays?

Find your sunsetExactly one year ago, I was sitting in a small bungalow at Funky Monkey Lodge in Santa Teresa with the computer in front of me. I had some work to do before I could go down to the beach to watch the sunset with the locals and tourists. Here on the long sandy beach, people gathered every night to watch the changes in the sky until the sun's burning globe was slowly extinguished in the slow waves. A magical spectacle I must say.

She had come to congratulate us in the family on behalf of the staff and to hand over a small flower. The conversation revolved around innovation and how fun it is with interior design and projects.

The feeling of AdventAdvent. Waiting. Hope. Longing. Few words fill me with as much peace, joy and anticipation as Advent. I love this time. Burning candle, the heat from a fire. The scent of spruce, pine, saffron and mulled wine. Christmas music. The Christmas rush with the children. The beauty of every dark corner is now allowed to swim in light and in hope.

THE GEAR HELLO!Hello? Hello…? Did it stop ringing all of a sudden? Now it became so empty again, a familiar feeling at this point. Is it just us who think - déjà vu? It can actually feel quite inconsolable. We who had just raised our heads above the water. Right then we should turn to the people around us who just refuse to let bad conditions drag them down. Who says things like- I understand that it's tough now, but we fix it. Who chooses to laugh at things that can not be influenced. We have such a person here at Vår Gård . His name is Tony. Tony is the one who thoughtfully reminds us that: we have the privilege of having a safe workplace where we can all work together. We can even invite you to visit because we have areas beyond the ordinary, conditions beyond the ordinary and security beyond the ordinary. Today it's time to hold on to your Tony. Is there anyone in your workplace who has that ability? Give your Tony some love!

Welcome to a new season and futureNow its time. Now we open up after the summer holidays and look forward to an exciting and new season. The tough and uncertain spring brought with it many challenges, but also many opportunities. A big change was made in a strong headwind and if it were not for our lovely guests and tirelessly determined employees, we might not have been able to make it. And we will move forward despite whirlwinds and flying timber.

In a tough time that has affected the whole world, we as humans have really been put to the test. .We have lived and are living in a time of great social constraints, uncertainty and fear of the future. For us at Vår Gård , it has meant a completely new reality with empty premises and missed meetings. From one day to the next we were challenged to change completely to even be able to be open. It would not have happened without you.

The spring of 2020 was like no other. A few days in March shook us all. For those of us who are experts in physical conferences, it became clear that the need to confer did not diminish through the Corona crisis - the problem was that we were no longer allowed to meet. We needed to change quickly to be able to offer alternatives to the physical meeting.

Let us cultivate a living culture of togetherness where more and more of us who live and work right here in Saltsjöbaden feel it is natural to participate in various cross-border collaborations.
