THE
RESORT

When we are not allowed to gather indoors, nature has become our closest friend. It is outdoors that we carefully dare to live and make room for all the needs we have previously taken for granted. We take the children to the forest or the friends to the park. Exercise, food and socializing have become synonymous with fresh air. A little tentative, we dare to live again after a long period of uncertainty. So what about the summer and the holidays?

We want to take the opportunity to liven things up with some tips before the holiday as a result of the restrictions that have now become commonplace in Sweden. A positive reminder is that we in Stockholm do not have to travel long distances to experience nature, the sea and the relaxation we associate our holiday with. We all have access to beautiful surroundings and incredible opportunities for bathing places in all their forms. At Vår Gård , we invite you to experience Saltsjöbaden, a short distance to the east with its lush surroundings and inviting bathing coves. Here the coast is lined with both cliffs and soft sandy beaches that are just waiting for happy summer guests.

Unlike a hundred years ago when Saltsjöbaden was an exclusive seaside resort for the most affluent - today everyone is welcome. A lot of water has flowed under the bridges since Saltsjöbaden was created and we have been an oasis for holidays at home since the start. We proudly claim that we in Saltsjöbaden can do this with swimming. After all, we have over a century on our necks. Here is a selection of cooling bathing spots for sunny weekends and lazy holidays.

Saltsjöbadens Friluftsbad

If you want to experience Saltsjöbaden's most historic bath, you can easily get to Saltsjöbaden's Friluftsbad , just a stone's throw from Saltsjöbanan train station. The cold bath is divided into two parts, the ladies' bath house and the men's bath house with a common beach. This is where the vision of a seaside resort in the late 19th century was founded and is recommended to those who want to swim comfortably with a toilet, sauna and restaurant on site. This is what it could look like a hundred years ago, flush to 9.09 minutes if you are impatient. Watch movies
