SALT LAKE
SPIRIT 2.0

This is an invitation to all of us who live and work in Saltsjöbaden . Let's cultivate a living culture of togetherness where more and more of us who live and work right here in Saltsjöbaden feel it natural to participate in various cross-border collaborations. Together with my colleague Madelene Segtertoft, we lead the project Saltsjöbadsandan 2.0 as part of Vår Gård 's initiative to develop Destination Saltsjöbaden .

By developing our common ability and our co-ability, we will be able to solve more quickly the different types of acute problems that we have encountered as a result of the Corona crisis. In practice, we can cultivate a Saltsjöbadsanda 2.0 that creates sustainable added value for our various businesses, our associations, our institutions and our community service.

We will also be able to use our developed co-operation capacity to more quickly design and test new concepts, value flows, service packages and societal functions that go far beyond the crisis.

Our belief is that in this way, together, we can profile Destination Saltsjöbaden as an exceptionally attractive place, both for ourselves and our incoming visitors, where:

-it is extra easy to develop and test new innovative solutions (Testination)
-is made for both genuine rest and recovery in beautiful environments (Restination)
-both weekdays and weekends can be filled with happy and playful socializing (Festination).

Sure, it's a play on words, but these expressions describe quite well what concrete added values we think the place Saltsjöbaden has to offer.

We will also be able to design and create different types of useful prototypes more quickly.
Above all, we must give ourselves the chance to be able to look and think together much more often and more fully beyond our respective horizons of thought. To make it easier for us to collaborate, we have decided to quickly and easily build ourselves some well-chosen tools for cross-border collaborations. These will make it easier for us to communicate creatively in digital and physical forms. Vår Gård becomes a physical hub here with its large inspiring environments.

By making Destination Saltsjöbaden a place where people like to try new things in a very relaxing and social atmosphere, this can become an even better place to live and work. This in turn becomes an attractive magnet that attracts exciting individuals, businesses and networks from other places to want to come to us in Saltsjöbaden . Here it is easier to test new concepts, carry out fun activities and cultivate relationships that last longer.
So what do we do in practice to be able to cultivate our sense of belonging and develop our ability to work together? We simply suggest that we start doing more cross-border things together!

Our strong togetherness and developed co-ability will probably have the consequence that more local jobs are created and better opportunities for more people to bake their own livelihood. It will also be much easier to run different types of businesses and we will also have access to a better local range of products, services and different types of support.

We also have the conditions to achieve better accessibility in our local community service and a higher degree of resilience among our companies, associations, institutions and residents.

We can probably also increase the recycling rate and reduce the total resource consumption for much of what we develop, produce, deliver and maintain here in Saltsjöbaden.

So, welcome to be part of the co-creation, we have unique conditions for cultivating Saltsjöbadsandan 2.0 together. We can not even blame that we do not have a room.
