The Carl conference room is named after Carl Milles (1875–1955) – one of Sweden’s most famous sculptors and professor of modeling at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. His powerful and often mythological works can be found all over the world, from Millesgården in Stockholm to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Milles’ art is characterized by movement, space and monumentality – a symbol of the free creation that also characterizes Vår Gård’s artistic spirit.
