Just 30 minutes from Stockholm City you will find Vår Gård in Saltsjöbaden - a beautiful place where the archipelago meets culture, food and meetings. Our location right on the water provides a unique setting, whether you come for a dinner, conference or a weekend excursion.

During the summer we show up for a lovely barbecue buffet at Bistron's outdoor restaurant.

 Enjoy a lovely menu that varies according to what is in season. Here are examples of what is served.

From the grill:

  • Vår Gård's sausage with pepper root cheese and grilled vegetables

  • Herbal lamb thin with Tzatziki on zucchini from the garden. Served with grilled lemon and root gratin

  • Swedish chicken from Bohuslän with lemon sauce

  • Grilled hanging beetroot with chevre sauce and grilled portable mushrooms

  • Grilled vegetables

Salad buffet:

  • Tomato salad on tomatoes from Karinstorp

  • Grilled asparagus with parmesan cream

  • Roasted Swedish beets with seeds and salad from Liljeholmen

  • Potato salad with mustard vinegar

  • Caesar salad with parmesan and croutons

  • Chili marinated cucumber salad

Dessert:

  • Rhubarb pie with custard

Welcome to a lovely breakfast buffet with lots of goodies from kitchen and bakery. Enjoy homemade scrambled eggs, bacon, freshly baked bread, various cheeses, cold cuts, smoked salmon and much more.

If you are more than 12 people, you can choose dishes from our á la carte menu for the whole party, but a maximum of two different options of starter, main course and dessert. Perfect for celebrating birthdays or other special occasions.

A concept born from the soul of the place

The bistro is formed with concern for Vår Gård 's history and identity. Here, the architecture interacts with nature, the interior with the art and the materials with sustainability. The inspiration is taken from the 40s and 50s design, where color, pattern and textile create a dynamic but warm atmosphere. Selected works of art - an obvious part of Vår Gård 's soul - are integrated into the environment and contribute to a holistic experience that speaks to all senses.

The atmosphere in the bistro

The bistro is the heart of our new restaurant experience - inviting, personal and alive. The room is divided into three parts: the veranda with window seats towards the sea, bistro in the middle with generous tables for nice conversations, and the club - at the back with soft sofa booths and views of the garden. There is also a small bar counter - perfect for a drink before dinner. Enjoy an atmosphere with Nordic furniture, natural materials and an expression that brings to mind both Swedish tradition and modern design.

The kitchen - our back pocket

Directly adjacent to the bistro is the kitchen - a smaller and more intimate part with moody energy and the feeling of sitting at home in someone's kitchen. Here guests gather around a large kitchen island as a community table, or on benches along the window overlooking the water. At the back is a relaxed sofa corner - perfect for lovely and spontaneous dinners.

Our food philosophy

The menu in the bistro is based on the best every season has to offer. The raw materials are carefully selected, often from local producers and always with care for both taste and the environment. Basically, there is a loving meeting between Swedish and French cuisine - classic and creative at the same time.
