The sugar baker
A visit to Kringelgården offers not only fragrant bread but a long and interesting history. With every bite of your bun, you get to talk about over a hundred years of craftsmanship, family tradition and professional pride. Kringelgården was founded in 1902 and has since the beginning delivered bread to hotels and restaurants in Stockholm's inner city.
Skärgårdskrogen
During the summer months, Holmen opens up in harmony with the warmth of the sun. Right by the water with a view of Hotellviken is this gem of an archipelago restaurant. Here you will find cold drinks and warm smiles just a few minutes from Vår Gård. In addition, there is always something exciting on the menu.
Swim all year round
Saltsjöbaden's Friluftsbad was built at the beginning of the century and is one of the few wooden cold bath houses that still remain on the Swedish east coast. A short walk from Vår Gård takes you to the "Saltisbadet", which consists of three parts - the women's pool, the men's pool and the middle pool. The middle pool has a nice sandy beach for you with family and small children and a jumping tower for the slightly older children.
The guest harbor
Next door to Vår Gård is the Royal Swedish Sailing Society if you want to take the boat to us. The guest harbor is located outside on Restaurangholmen with access to shower, toilet, water, laundry room and electricity for visiting boat owners. KSSS has a long and interesting history in Saltsjöbaden with events such as racing and training camps.
Guided Art Tour
It is not possible to mention Vår Gård without also mentioning Isaac Grünewald and Grünewaldsvillan. The villa is the place where the artist lived and worked. Cultural activities still characterize life in Grünewaldvillan, which has been owned by the Öhlin family since 1989. If you want to see his large studio where the works of art were created, the villa is within walking distance of the hotel.
Shop second hand
A candy store of recycled items. Used things are renovated here and have a longer lifespan at Återbruket. Shop second hand with a clear conscience and find a beautiful memory to take home from your trip. If you live nearby, it is fine to hand in old furniture for renovation. In addition, the work is performed by people in work training. Durable all the way simply.
For the golfer
Saltsjöbaden's Golf Club is a modern golf club with a history stretching back to 1929 and known for its well-maintained courses and good service. The dedicated and professional staff make you feel welcome regardless of your level. The track is located in a beautiful forest environment about five minutes by car from Vår Gård. Bring the golf clubs before the visit.
Play tennis
Saltsjöbaden's Lawn Tennis Club outdoor court is a stone's throw from Vår Gård for those who fancy playing tennis. A lovely walk takes you to the tennis court, which is beautifully located by Hotellviken. Contact the tennis club if you want to make an appointment.
