Neck profile of the year

The theme during the day was sustainability in connection with entrepreneurship and climate impact, which was followed up with several inspiring lectures and concluded with the annual award ceremony. This year, the prestigious award as Neck Profile of the Year went to Kadi Upmark, CEO of Vår Gård .

The hotel and conference facility Vår Gård , which is part of the hard-hit hospitality industry, has had to undergo several challenges during the progress of the pandemic. Both courage and will have permeated Kadi Upmark's leadership, which led to the following justification: "

At a time when many feverishly turned outward for help, she rolled up her sleeves, joined hands with the staff and turned the tide so that Vår Gård became a place that was more open, inspired and more creative than ever.
With ideas that never run out and courage that never seems to end, she has taken Vår Gård into an exciting journey of change - towards becoming a living meeting place for everyone. This is a person who, through commitment and drive, contributes to a strong community locally in Saltsjöbaden, throughout Nacka and beyond."

There is no doubt that it is an emotional moment when a very moved and newly minted Nacka profile takes the stage to receive diplomas and tributes: -

I feel dazed, grateful and proud. Thank you to everyone who believed in me over the years, who stood by my side and who gave me space to grow and lead in a sustainable way. And my most heartfelt thanks go to all the amazing staff who put up with me over the years, Kadi says with a slight quiver in her voice and a big smile.
