When you paddle, you are part of the sea traffic and there are some rules that are good to know.
On the lake, the right-hand rule applies and as a paddler you have a duty to give way to all motorized traffic. Feel free to stay close to land so it will not be so far to swim if you roll over. We also recommend that you paddle with a friend if you are not experienced. Make sure you have the right equipment in the kayak. Paddle, life jacket and canopy are always included when you rent a kayak from us. Wear comfortable and flexible clothes, preferably synthetic training clothes that breathe and dry quickly. If it is summer and hot, do not forget the water bottle, sunscreen and swimwear.
