Miriam Johannesson and Einar Höste
In 1974, Vår Gård 's 50th birthday was celebrated. As an anniversary present Vår Gård received a "Globe in cube" signed by Einar Höste, one of the leading concretists of the time. Symbolically, Höste's artistry stands for a longing out of the enclosed cube. This year, 50 years later, contemporary shooting star Miriam Johannesson spins on Höste's visions through a brand new group of pearlescent metal sculptures, specifically created for the site and the 100th anniversary.

Anna Charlotte Rosenberg Boston and Inger Sarin
During the autumn, we meet two textile artists from different eras, Anna Charlotte Rosenberg Bosten and Inger Sarin, in a unique exhibition where the theme revolves around the four elements and the art of patience. Rosenberg Bosten, known for her intricate and traceable textiles in fiber art, presents works with a focus on slowness and thoughtfulness, inspired by her previous exhibition "Tree of Patience" at Kungsträdgården. The works are brought into dialogue with Sarin's forgotten but significant weaving and free-embroidery "The Tree of Knowledge" (1977). Together, they create a suggestive and ingenious exploration of the fundamental forces of nature and the possibilities of textile art to weave together past and present.

Culture night Stockholm
Open house with guided art tour and activities
Today, Vår Gård has one of Sweden's largest private art collections with an emphasis on national modernist art that emerged during the 19th and 20th centuries. The collection has both depth and breadth with well-known key works and creations from local creators with Saltsjöbaden as its surroundings. Swedish artists such as Isaac Grünewald, Axel Törneman and Lisa Larson are represented, but also international greats such as Marc Chagall. The art also includes several outdoor works that today make up Vår Gård 's sculpture line. Art is the material trace of creative actions - actions that most certainly did not emerge from a vacuum. The works that make up Vår Gård 's art collection originate from the time when the people's movement KF was established, grew strong and ground-breaking training took place at the place where we now conduct our business. There are few art collections that were created in a similar way, and even fewer that still exist. Art is a given element in Vår Gård 's history and heritage and will have a significant role during the Jubilee Year.
During the year, various exhibitions and openings will take place where existing works and modernist art are visited by contemporary artists.
Villa Skärtofta
The first exhibition series "Time and space for New Meetings" premieres in connection with the opening of the Restaurant in the historic turn-of-the-century villa Skärtofta. Discover a fascinating dialogue between the past and the present when selected artworks from Vår Gård 's collection are combined with the modern art landscape. Dynamics, harmony and collisions weave together older and contemporary art in an exciting story about the passage of time.
Vincaféet
Starting in March, Vincaféet will become an exhibition space with guest performances by newly established artists. Here, experimental expressions and dreams can take place and visions come true.
The main building
Vår Gård 's anniversary exhibition begins on the anniversary, September 28, and takes place in the main building. Here, commemorative works over the years and archived works from Vår Gård 's art collection are displayed. In collaboration with ArkDe's collections, a photo exhibition is also held with archival images and texts from Vår Gård and the Cooperative Association's training days. Here history is linked with the present and how Vår Gård manages a legacy 100 years later.
